Mommy and Daddy go to Napa/San Fran!

For our anniversary this year we decided to do a Napa/San Fran trip. Tiffany moved to San Fran about a year ago and I have wanted to go visit and see her new place.  Happy 9 years, Alston! Mammy flew in on Wednesday to stay with the girls and we left Thursday morning.  Thank you Mammy!

Thursday morning we flew into San Fran and went straight to the first winery (unfortunately we were a little delayed so we didn't have time to grab lunch and had to go straight to the first winery).  Our first stop was Pride Winery (this ended up being our favorite), just a really pretty winery up in the mountains, we did a tour a tasting here.  After Pride we left and went to Duckhorn for a tour and tasting, then to Mumm (sparkling wine and did just a tasting).  From Mumm we did a tasting at Menage a Trois.  After Menage a Trois we decided to try and eat an earlier dinner since we didn't get a chance to eat all day.  The place we had reservations was really booked so we couldn't get in any earlier so we decided to head back to our hotel and order pizza...we just needed to eat!  :-)  At home the girls were in good hands with Mammy and Dee Dee...having fun playing and trying to get used to the potty!

Friday we got up and ate breakfast at this little cafe near our hotel and then decided to head over to Napa for our first tasting at tour at Rudd.  We then went to eat lunch at the restaurant that we were supposed to eat dinner, Mustards.  After lunch we headed to our last tour and tasting at Nickel and Nickel.  That night we ate at a sushi restaurant called Morimoto on the Napa river.  The girls and Mammy (and us) had a surprise at home....Doo Da came for a visit!  Mammy and the girls were at the park and Ella turned around and said "there's Doo Da"...I love it!  I wish could have seen their faces!  Such a fun surprise!!!

Saturday we got up and headed back into San Fran to meet Tiffany.  We went to her place and she showed us all around her place and then we left and went down to the Embarcadero and Farmers Market.  Their farmers market is huge!  It was really fun to walk around and sample some of the fresh food!  After we walked around there we went to Fisherman's Wharf and saw the sea lions! From their we went to a fun little taqueria and ate lunch.  Alston wanted to check out China Town so we headed there after lunch.  Before dinner we went to this cool bar on top of the InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco called Top of the Mark.  It had an amazing view of the city and we caught it right before sunset!  After we had a drink there we headed to dinner at The Slanted Door.  The food was awesome!  The next morning we walked to a little cafe not far from Tiffany's place to eat breakfast before we flew home.  Tiffany was a great tour guide and knows a lot about the city!!  I can't wait to go back!

The girls had a great weekend going to the park, feeding the ducks and riding the carousel! Thank you to all the grandparents for watching the girls.
