We just got back from our annual summer trip to Charleston and hated to leave! We always have such a fun time and get to see lots of people! This trip the girls stayed in the same room the whole time... and they loved it! They would stay up late talking and singing each other to sleep! We went to the beach, had lots of pool and park time, Mommy shopped, jumped at the trampoline park and had lots of yummy food and company!
We flew in on the 2nd (the girls did pretty good on the plane...but thankfully Alston had drink tickets for us to use on the second leg)! :-) There is something so special about being in Charleston for the 4th so we were excited to be able to do it again! Tiffany and Steve were there for the weekend too! Alston left on the 5th to go back and work but I am thankful I was able to stay and hang out with Trav, Mammy, Doo Da and the girls for the rest of the week.

The first day we were there we went to the beach in the morning after breakfast (and after it rained). It turned out to be a great beach weather! The girls loved playing in the water and digging in the sand! This was Callie's first time to be able to walk around on the beach and play in the waves! They had a blast!

For the 4th we hung around the house and swam in Mammy and Doo Da's pool all day. I think Ella was in the pool for about 5 1/2 hours...she really became a little fish this trip! Alston and Travis' friends Jared and Katie came over with their new baby, Ollie! We grilled burgers and hotdogs and had a yummy feast!

Alston unfortunately had to fly back home on Sunday but he and Trav got one last round of golf in before he flew out. The girls and Doo Da had a tea party and we swam some more with Travis (Doo Da bought Ella some goggles and she loved them)!

Doo Da had Monday off work so we decided to take the girls to the beach again since we had an extra set of hands! We packed a lunch for the girls so they could have a picnic out there. We had another great beach day!

Tuesday we hung around the house and had a park and pool day and I went shopping some!
Wednesday the trampoline park, Sky Zone, had "Toddler Time" so we went to that from 9-10 so the girls could jump! I went shopping in the afternoon and the girls swam with Mammy and Doo Da!

Thursday we had one more park and pool day at the house before we left for Greenville/Spartanburg for the weekend (Mommy even got in the pool and got her hair wet!) :-) The girls had a picnic dinner by the pool!

Friday, Mammy, the girls and I headed out for Spartanburg to see Mama, Papa, Pat, J, Jake and Keri, and Laylous! We had a great visit and it was so good to see everyone! Thankfully Dee Dee had bought a few toys to keep at Mama's so the girls had stuff to play with! That evening we headed to Greenville to stay in a hotel but that didn't go as planned (their housekeepers quit and they didn't have any rooms cleaned) so we picked up Alston at the airport and stayed with Meme and Papa, thankfully they had enough room for all of us! Ella slept with Mammy in her bed and Callie in the pack n' play in their room and Alston and I were in a room.

Saturday we got up and drove back to Spartanburg to see Mama and Papa one more time. Then we headed back to Meme and Papas for lunch and to celebrate Tim's birthday! After Callie's nap we headed over to Debbie's sister, Terry's house for a quick visit before going to the hotel.

Sunday we had an adventure getting home! We flew from GSP to Houston and then our flight from Houston to Dallas was cancelled! We ended up renting a car and driving to Dallas instead of waiting at the airport for 4 hours with the girls!

We had such a great trip, I always hate for it to be over. Already looking forward to next summer!
Thank you everyone for such a great trip!!
