Adults Only Trip!

A few weekends ago we took a trip to Monterey/Carmel, CA to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday! The Cleghorn's, Watson', Sudbeck's, Weiss' and Alston and I headed out Thursday-Sunday for a fun weekend celebrating Kelly's birthday!  We had a great time eating, drinking, the guys played golf, the girls shopped and ate lunch and just hung out!  The Waston's, Weiss' and Alston and I were all on the same flight out so we went to lunch and grocery shopped on the way to the house.  That night we headed into Carmel for dinner at Clint Eastwood's restaurant, Mission Ranch.  It was a really cool place that had a pasture with sheep and we watched the sun set before we sat down for dinner.

Friday, the guys played golf at Bayonet Gold Course and the girls headed in to Carmel to eat, shop and go down to the beach. We couldn't have asked for better weather, 60s during the day and 50s at night!  That evening we all headed to Pebble Beach to watch the sunset and the bagpiper on hole 18 at Spanish Bay.  We had dinner reservations at the Tap Room at Pebble....that was quite an adventure! There was also a lady who has a house on number 18 at Pebble who was celebrating her 96th birthday!  It was a fun night with lots of laughs!

Saturday, the guys played golf at Black Horse Gold Course and then thanks to Joanna they got on at Spy Glass in the afternoon (how could they go all the way out there and not play one of the courses at Pebble!).  The girls had spa time in the morning...we all got massages at a near by hotel and then sat out on the hotels rooftop spa area with lounge chairs and hot tubs over looking the water...it was one of my most favorite times...so relaxing! That afternoon the girls and Ryan W. all took the 17 mile drive through Pebble...many scenic stops along the way!  We headed to La Bicyclette for dinner! This was my favorite place we ate the whole trip!   It was a great way to end our trip and brainstorm where we want to go next!!
