October 21st we participated in the JDRF One Walk as team Callie's Crusaders! When Alston and I sat down to talk about the walk (months ago) and what are team name was going to be, I had the idea of doing a "Super Hero" type theme and wanted to have capes made for everyone walking with us and do a Wonder Woman type logo. One of my old co-workers was so sweet to do the logo for us and it all turned out great! The capes were a hit!
I really didn't know what to think in terms of how the fundraising was going to go but it was amazing!...we ended up being a top five family! So proud of our team and so humbled and blessed to have such amazing friends and family to donate to our cause! We raised a total of $12, 425! We had 35 people walk with us the day of the walk and it was a great event honoring Callie! Thank you to everyone who donated and walked with us, we are forever grateful for each of you!
