Christmas Time! (Callie's 1st Christmas!)

Merry Christmas!!  We had a great time celebrating Christmas this year with this being Ella's second and Callie's first! It was fun because Ella was much more aware of what was going on since she is a little older.  She liked for me to turn on the Christmas tree every morning and then she would also say "Chrimis music on"…so we would listen to Christmas music while we ate breakfast.  

The night before Christmas Eve, Alston, Ella, Callie and I rode through the neighborhood to look at Christmas lights…I drove and Ella sat in Daddy's lap!

Christmas Eve, Dee Dee and Pops decided to spend the night this year with us so we could do "Santa" at our house Christmas day.  They came over in the afternoon and we all went to the children's service (4:00 pm) at church.  Ella and Callie did great!  So proud of them!  After we all sang the first song of the service (Joy to the World) Ella clapped her hands and yelled "Yaaaayyy Music!" as the church was silent…of course everyone around us laughed…it was pretty cute!  After church we all opened gifts from each other.  Before bedtime Ella left cookies and milk for Santa and also had to "sample" one of the cookies to make sure it was good! After we put the girls down to sleep we ate dinner.  After dinner, Alston and Pops put together a few of the toys from Mammy and Doo Da and Santa!

Santa came! 

Christmas morning we got up and Ella and Callie came down to see what all Santa had brought!  We ate breakfast and played with some of the toys and then called Mammy, Doo Da, Tiffany and Travis and opened gift from them!

After nap time we all went to Dee Dee and Pops house for dinner and to open stockings. I told Ella she was a lucky girl to get all the gifts that she got!  Thank you everyone for ALL the girls gifts and our gifts (we are very lucky too)!  I look forward to many years ahead of celebrating Christmas and seeing it all through the girls eyes….so, so special!  Merry Christmas to All and to All a Goodnight!
